In view of the extensive interest and positive feedback received from the global academic community regarding the XXXIII Bárány Society Annual Meeting, and following careful deliberation by the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to announce the following two important matters:

Extension of Abstract Submission and Early-Bird Registration Deadlines

Both the abstract submission deadline and the early-bird registration deadline have been extended to August 15, 2026. This extension is intended to provide all colleagues with additional time to refine their abstracts and to continue enjoying the early-bird registration rates. We sincerely encourage everyone to make the most of this extended period and look forward to welcoming you to Shanghai in the golden autumn.

Commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of Robert Bárány's Birth and the 90th Anniversary of His Passing

The year 2026 marks the 150th anniversary of Robert Bárány's birth and the 90th anniversary of his death. The convergence of these two anniversaries in the same year presents a unique and profoundly historic opportunity for us to honor the founding legacy of this pioneering figure and to carry forward the spirit of our discipline during this Annual Meeting. The Organizing Committee has meticulously developed a commemorative program under the theme "Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future," which has been submitted to the Bárány Society for approval. The program will be featured as an opening plenary session, seamlessly integrated into the congress agenda.

We look forward to gathering together in Shanghai to reflect upon the invaluable spiritual heritage of our predecessors and to pay tribute to the illustrious history of our field. At the same time, we will share the latest advances in vestibular science and medicine, strengthen international collaboration, foster new partnerships, promote interdisciplinary dialogue, and jointly illuminate a brighter future for our discipline.
